The English Provender Company (EPC) was one of the first businesses established at Greenham Business Park, occupying a small former military unit, producing a range of traditional condiments, sauces, chutneys, dressings and preserves. Following unprecedented growth (between £8m to £70m turnover) in 2003 EPC agreed to take a 64,366 sq ft (5,979, sq m) purpose built production property on the business park, which was completed the following summer. The facility has since been extended by a further 17,500 sq ft (1,625 sq m) to accommodate their continued growth. And last summer a further 25,000 sq ft temporary storage facility was also added. Its purpose built facility at Greenham Business Park has allowed EPC to expand its portfolio of products, employing all the traditional English preserving skills whilst using the most modern, hygienic and efficient equipment. “If we have a problem we can go to the Trust and they will deal with it on a one to one basis. It is more of a partnership than a traditional tenant/landlord relationship,” said Andy Richards, Operations Director at EPC.
