THE LIBERTY BALLROOM The Liberty Ballroom was established in 1994 and has since grown to become one of the finest dance and entertainment venues in the South of England. With its huge sprung timber dance floor and spacious seating area for up to 250 people the Liberty Ballroom is a superb facility for lovers of dance. Our main function is providing the instruction of various types of dance and then to hold social events for the enjoyment of dance. A range of dance types are taught, the most popular being Modern Jive, Ballroom and Latin, Salsa and the ever popular Line Dance. Our well stocked bar provides a wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. SOCIAL DANCES Many social nights are held throughout the year and these are open to dancers and non-dancers alike. For 2011 we already have over 40 public events planned with something for everybody including 60s & 70s discos, Ballroom socials, Ceroc nights, Country nights and other spectacular themed evenings to keep you on your toes. PRIVATE & CORPORATE FUNCTIONS The Ballroom is available to hire for private and corporate functions. The games are played on a purpose built 100 x 60 feet sprung timber pitch with built in goals, rebound boards, rounded corners, containment nets and a spectator viewing area. There are showers and changing rooms and a licensed bar. Groups of individuals, companies or teams are welcome to hire the pitch by the hour. Payment is in advance (before you play) and may be required further in advance for new customers. Block bookings of 10 weeks or more are welcome and attract a discount off the normal hourly rate. Price to hire starts from as little as £25 per hour. Structured tournaments for companies or groups are also available. These are fully supervised with the option of food if required and trophies for the winning teams.
